"Observing Holloween in Japan"
Today's Preview is about our Halloween custom in Japan. This event is thought to have been influenced by folk customs and beliefs from the Celtic-speaking countries but originally, HOLLOWEEN is known as All Saints' Day. A celebration observed in many countries dates October 31 and November 1. In Philippines, it is celebrated to visit loved ones who pass away and spirits are lying in heaven where holiday starts October 31 to November 3. While in Japan, August is the month of visiting which they call OBON.
